Install DHCP server

Install DHCP server by download and install the DHCP package

sudo apt-get install dhcp3-server -y

Configure dhcpd.conf

Ether the dhcp.conf

nano /etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf

Uncomment everything and add the following lines at the bottom of the dhcp.conf file

 
ddns-update-style none;
authoritative;
 
option domain-name "dka.local";
option domain-name-servers 10.0.0.1;
 
default-lease-time 3100;	# 51 minutes.
max-lease-time 604800;		# 1 week
