Troubleshooting layer 2

  • Hardware issues (move cable to good port)
  • VLAN configuration.
    • Inter-VLAN traffic must be routed
  • Trunk configuration
    • Same trunkprotocol (DOT1Q,ISL)
    • Same Native VLAN

Verifying Layer 2 Forwarding
